I found an interview with Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse on 'Entertainment Weekly'. They reveal some really, really interesting stuff about the show - such as, we will find out who was in the coffin at the end of season 3 during this season, and, perhaps most interestingly, "We'll know by the end of the season that there will be two alternative explanations for why Oceanic 815 is in the trench at the bottom of the ocean. It will not be clear which story one should believe." EEEEKK!
Oh yeah, and who else was shocked by the ending of 'Lost' last night? =)

yeah I totally didn't see that coming. It's got me worried, because if Claire doesn't have Aaron, then she's either dead or detained on the island. I can't imagine that she would willingly part with her baby. However I also can't see why she would choose to leave the island with those people, since she seems to believe that they are a threat.
My guess is, she dies. I don't think she would leave her baby any other way. The only other possibility is she was forcibly detained in a dangerous situation and gave Aaron to Kate rather than risk his life.
